I'll be brief: Yesterday I came home with some rain, I came charging my cell phone in a powerbank. When I got home it wouldn't let me charge because I got the humidity warning. I tried patting it dry, cold hair dryer, etc etc. It didn't work, so during the night I charged it with a very slow wireless charger that I have at home, this morning I took the cell phone and placed it in rice for approximately 1 hour. After that he let me charge and I was calm. But now I wanted to charge my cell phone and it charged strangely. It charges a little and then stops charging, then charges again a little and stops charging again and so on repeatedly. I tried putting cold air on it again but it doesn't seem to improve. What can I do?? Aid
I don't know how relevant it is. But it is a refurbished S22. I have had it since December. The truth is strange because I had no problems with water before. I had not submerged it as such, but rain or splashes had not been a problem.
The water issue may be because you got it wet *while* it was connected to a power bank. This may have caused an internal spark that somehow either damaged the port, the cable or the battery. If wireless charging still works, it's probably a damaged port or, it seems to me, that you did not allow time for it to thoroughly dry out before attempting wired charge. You need to allow a full 24-48 hours to dry before connecting a wired charger - an hour in rice is not going to cut it. If you have some packs of silica gel lying around, you can try placing your phone in a box with a few of them.
