Galaxy S22

My s22 ultra was working fine last week. Then on the weekend my phone updated itself and now it does not connect to the verizon service most of the times. When I'm at home or in the rural areas it won't connect but when I'm in the city close to the towers then it connects. But it also drops in an out. I spent 2 hours with tech support and they helped me set up an estimate but it still does the same thing. Now they are trying to get me to buy a new phone even though this was working just fine 2 days ago. It stopped working the day of the update and I don't know what to do. I don't want to have to buy a new phone right now. Phones are not cheap right now and they want me to drop over a 1000 for a new one. Is there a way to remove the update and go back to the last version?

Go to settings > about phone > software information > Google Play Store system update. Click on that. Update it. It might work. If not go to the carrier.

For now, you can try clearing your system cache, which can help clean up any old temp files that could be contributing to your battery issues.

To wipe the system cache,
Turn off the device.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Side key.

When the Android logo displays, release both keys.

An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.

Press the Volume down key several times to highlight Wipe cache partition.

Press Side key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Side key to select.

When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.

Press the Side key to restart the device.

Unlike a master reset, wiping the cache partition does not delete your personal data. Turn off the device. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power key. When the Android logo displays, release both keys. An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight the Wipe cache partition. Press the Power key to select. Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Power key to select. When the process is complete, the Reboot system now is highlighted. Press the Power key to restart the device.

The same happened to me. s22 ultra. T-mobile. They can't fix it, and the phone has no warranty. They want me to buy a new phone. 20 years with them, and they won't give me any deals to help with a known problem with this phone that they sold. I left, went to Verizon, got the s24 ultra, and a cheaper monthly price for the same services. Only cost me 300.00 over 3 years. 8.33 added to my monthly bill. I'll ride with Verizon for now. These phone companies don't care about excitsting costumers only the new ones. Also, Samsung, you better not be pulling an APPLE scam, making phones go bad to get people to buy new ones. Apple got sued..
