I updated my S10 in early January 2022, it would no longer connect to my Toyota Camry for Bluetooth phone calls. I just upgraded to an S22 and the issue continues.

I followed recommendations on this site and Reset All Settings and Reset Network Settings. The issue continues,

The phone connects for a brief time and then disconnects, Intermittently I am getting Google Stops Working Error.

I'm at my wits end, please help.

There is one toggle for Audio. It is off now but I am inside and not connected to the truck. But earlier today when I would connect to the truck the audio worked and the Audio toggle auto turned ON but the phone didn't work.

In some of the YouTube videos I remember there being something about different connection types. (?}

One was Audio and Multimedia. I don't see anything about Multimedia, which i understood was included both phone and Media.

Normally if the device you are trying to pair to, supports: phone, audio and contacts, then these will be shown. Your phone doesn't see your car's stereo as a phone profile, only as audio device.

The screen resolution on Android Auto for the S22 Ultra is very blurry. At first I thought I was seeing things, but I wasn't. I plugged in my old Note 20 ultra, and the screen was 1080p, crystal clear. I also plugged in my iphone for apple car play. The screen res was even clearer!!! I believe Sammy missed android auto on the lastest patch for the S22.

Navigate to Screen resolution settings.

Navigate to Settings and then tap Display. Swipe to and tap Screen resolution.

Choose your resolution.

Choose your desired resolution, and then tap Apply.

I'm referring to my car screen while using Android Auto.

I noticed the same issue with my Kenwood head unit. I had to go into the Bluetooth settings on the head unit, go into Bluetooth, select the new phone, and turn on Bluetooth audio. The phone disconnected, I tapped Android auto and the image was crystal clear. I checked the Bluetooth on my phone and it said it was connected for calls, but not audio. Looking into it further it appears everything is trying to go over WiFi and the resolution suffers. Enabling Bluetooth for audio, I think, frees up more WiFi to the stereo this giving the clearer image.

Glad that worked. But I'm using my stock head unit I'm my mustang. I don't have those options I believe. If I plug up my Note 20, picture is crystal clear. So it has to be the phone some how.

Mine was the same. Note 20 never an issue. The stock unit should have, under the phones settings, the Bluetooth options for multiple phones. Did you try to remove both phones and just add the S22 ultra. By default it should set A2DP and hands free to the S22 Ultra. If you still use the Note 20, add it back.

Unless it connects via USB cable. If that's the case, tap settings on the Android Auto and choose the option to open the Android auto settings on the phone, in there is an option to turn off the WiFi connections and other settings.

The sad thing is, we shouldn't have to play with these to get them to work right!

I just went outside to try what you mentioned. I didn't notice that my Note 20 was still added. So, I removed it everything. Like everything lol. And just plugged my S22 to back up. It re added the bluetooth and when it detected android auto. I turned off the wifi on the head unit as well as android auto. Still blurry 🤦‍:male_sign:.

I'll keep looking. There's gotta be something. Mine was so bad, I thought my stereo was bad!
