S22 not connecting for car Bluetooth calls

I updated my S10 in early January 2022, it would no longer connect to my Toyota Camry for Bluetooth phone calls. I just upgraded to an S22 and the issue continues. 

I followed recommendations on this site and Reset All Settings and Reset Network Settings. The issue continues,

The phone connects for a brief time and then disconnects, Intermittently I am getting Google Stops Working Error.

I'm at my wits end, please help.

Mine's not working either. I picked up my pre-order S22 Ultra last Saturday (2020 Kia Optima). When I plug in the cable, the Android Auto icon appears like it normally does. When I press the icon, Waze deploys, but that's as far as it gets. The app will not navigate and the screen will go blank. I've searched all over the internet for a solution, but I've come up with nothing so far. I came here to see if anybody has gotten it to work.

It makes me upset because I upgraded from my S8+ and am very happy with the phone otherwise.

Yes, Android Auto says it doesn't have location permission on my phone, when it does.  Says see notification on my phone, but there is none.  I NEED Android Auto to work with this phone!!!!

UPDATE:

  Went under Apps, Maps, Permissions.  Location was turned off, as was Notifications.  I turned them on.  My S22 Ultra works on Android Auto now.

My brand new s22 ultra is not displaying the map screen in Android auto....... music plays it says connected and everything seems to be working BUT the map screen.. has anyone found a fix for this..

I'm having the same issue using a pioneer head unit. S21 works just fine. Plug the s22 ultra in and just a black screen

New S22 Ultra creates a blank screen on my pioneer dmh2660nex.  My old s9+ did not have this issue and AA worked fine.  An update didn't resolve the issue, nor replacing the cable.  It does the same if Bluetooth, as well.

I purchased a S22 this weekend and am trying to connect it to my 2010 Tundra. I do not have a navigation system in the truck but only a radio / CD player. I can connect the S22 Bluetooth and play audio but I cannot get the phone to work through the radio.

I previously had a Samsung J32 and it worked fine.

I have reset devices, deleted devices. When I pair the phone and truck it identifies as Multimedia, but the phone still doesn't work, only media like Pandora.

Is there some setting or switch I need to turn on to make this work.

Any help or advise is much appreciated.

Go to settings, then connections and then Bluetooth. In there next to the name of your car, will be a gear icon. Tap it and see if phone toggle is on.
