On 5/26, my S22 Ultra suddenly disconnected from the network. Even though it showed bars and 5G, I was unable to make calls. Occasionally, it showed "no service" at the top and a notification that "your phone's not on a registered network, so you can only make emergency calls." After a Google search, I tried:

1. Phone restart
2. Airplane mode off and on
3. Software is up to date
4. Removed SIM, wiped down, reinserted
5. Another SIM
6. Reset network settings
7. Toggled SIM on & off
8. Factory reset

Then:
9. AT&T, 2 different stores over 3 visits - every time I was in the store, it connected. But it clearly was not a network issue, so they could only offer replacement by insurance or trade in
10. Geek Squad - offered replacement, same as AT&T
11. uBreakiFix - offered to replace parts, but stated 70% of the time, it is a software error, and the phone must be replaced anyway.

I can't find any information on Samsung recognizing the issue, which seems to be quite widespread over the past year & including S23 Ultra, and offering replacement. I am out of warranty, and my extended warranty with All State has expired.

Are we going to get a class action lawsuit? Sign me up.

It is still deactivated, yes. They haven't got me registered on the mobile network yet, but that's why it's deactivated right now. You can call them or go into your nearest T-Mobile store and tell them that your phone number is not registered on the mobile network and if there's a way that they can register it.

Ok cool. Thank you. I am on with them now doing the same thing I already did with them yesterday. I asked them to just register my phone on the network and they said they are seeing it on the network. I'll ask them again to just re-register it if they tell me there's nothing more they can do. I'll keep you posted.

I had this exact problem after I cleared cache partition. I had to call my company and they had to send me a new SIM card or a register a esim.. after that my problem was fixed.

I was just on the phone with both T Mobile and Samsung for over an hour and nothing. Samsung is expediting my case to an expert. In the meantime I just cleared the cache partition as you suggested but am still having the same issue. Do I need a new eSim afterwards for it to work?
