Has anyone experienced the same thing as me? Since I upgraded to One UI 8 when I enter the secure folder and exit it does not locked automatically, it stays open in recent app, the only way it closes automatically is if you go lock screen mode and enter to your phone again, then if you try recent apps secure folder is locked (you have to put your password, pin, etc) but if you don't do the lock screen anyone has your phone has access to see your content by just go to secure folder app or just access to recent apps icon... before with One UI 7 if you entered the secure folder and exited it (pressing home button or simply access to another app)it will automatically secured herself but with this new update i noticed that is not happen..that is dangerous for ppl who has very sensitive content on it and doesn't want anyone know about it...SAMSUNG PLEASE FIX THIS NOW

I've set mine to lock Secure Folder whenever the screen turns off. I just have to remember to turn off the screen whenever I exit Secure Folder.

I know this isn't really what you wanted, but it seems to be the closest that we can get right now.

Mine is set the same way as yours, and yeah that is not what I wanted.....did you noticed that too, with this new update of one ui 8?...with the UI 7 you didn't even have to remind or lock screen your phone for the secure folder to take action and protect itself because once you click another app, click home button or even if you by mistake hit the back button, the secure folder app protected itself and automatically blocked itself. But this is not happening with one UI 8

I wrote about an issue with secure folder about a month ago. Since the new update of one UI 8 secure folder remains open in recent apps, even if you close recent apps and click on secure folder you'll find the app still open (don't have to put password) the only way to secure folder locked itself for protection is if you go to lock screen (click side button or double tap screen) and open the phone ( unlock phone with password)...before with one UI 6 and 6.1 once you go to home screen or open another app the secure folder will locked itself for protection so if you go to recents apps it will not permit to see anything for protection and that's the way it should be, that's why is called secure folder ๐Ÿ™„...but with this new update of one ui 8 is not like that anymore, they already released like 2 patch but none of them is for secure folder....so, this is my second post about the same issue the first one i posted it on s22 ultra community...i hope that someone from samsung is reading the issues from the community and raise the voice so they can do something about it...or am i the only one with this issue?

It may be a pain, but you can exit the Secure Folder by clicking on the three vertical dots at the top right and selecting Lock and exit.

I had made a habit of doing that even before the update and it might be a good habit to cultivate!

Teach an old dog new tricks, not likely. Some people have an aversion to change !

Look how many seconds a day you might waste if you have to remember to lock and exit each time. ๐Ÿ™„

Who is accessing your phone and secure folder  immediately after you exit the app?  The folder locks automatically after the screen turns off or after 5 minutes.  I presume that in the 5 minutes after you close the folder, the phone is still in your hands and you are continuing to use it, or the screen shut off, so therefore the folder would be locked (as should your phone be if you really cared about your privacy).

Everyone has their point and their own opinion, noone is wrong, because everyone has their own way on use their phone, in my case is like i'm going backwards instead of going more simple or in another words samsung is removing stuff that we used to have, for example removing the 3.5mm aux for headphones, now on s25 ultra removed the bluetooth on the s pen, probably noone used it every day, but is a feature that is there that comes with the phone, then why removing it?...now going back with my subject, in the secure folder app setting they removed the option in auto lock secure folder "EACH TIME I LEAVE AN APP" they should of leave it there and let the phone owners decide which option they want to choose, some ppl like to use more steps go back on the app inside secure folder to go to the hamburger sign and click on lock and exit, in my case i prefer just hit the home button ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

You know, many changes are based on user feedback to the developers.  Many people actually requested that the folder remain unlocked for a period of time after closing in case they wanted to re-enter it (as people do) without having to reenter their password.  I guess there were enough requests for that, that they decided to do it.

My personal opinion is that the use of the secure folder is totally unnecessary if one secures their phones and keeps it in their own hands and it's not a big deal if it locks 5 minutes later or when the screen times out, or you press the side button.  Should they have left it as an option to remain unlocked, of course; but they didn't.  The only way to change it back is for there to be enough voices sending feedback directly to the development team via the feedback link in the support tab of the members app.  Complaining about it here, where nothing can be done about it, is not getting it to the development team.  They neither read, nor act upon, postings here (unless a moderator flags it, and they have not yet seen fit to do that).
