I own a Galaxy S22, and after installing the latest software update, I’ve noticed a couple of issues:

  1. The phone occasionally stutters or lags when switching between apps, something I didn’t experience before.

  2. Battery life seems worse 🙏 I’m losing charge faster even with light use (social media, browsing).

  3. The phone also feels a bit warmer than usual during normal use.

I’ve already tried clearing cache in recovery mode, restarting, and checking for background apps, but the issues  are still there

Has anyone else experienced similar problems after the update? Are there any recommended fixes or settings I should adjust until Samsung releases another patch?

You have an S22, the warmth may be because the processer is working a bit harder with the new software and features.  Just because a phone is warm, does not mean it's overheating. I don't know when you got the update, but it may not be completely finished putting everything in place (it can take a few days, as the main components are put in place to keep your phone in action, but a lot of "housekeeping" gets done after the fact).  As for the battery drain, again, I do not know for how long you have the update, but the adaptive battery needs to relearn your normal usage patterns after each system update.  It takes about a week to normalize, but this doesn't count the period of time that the update is still processing and  all your apps are looking for updates.  If it's been more than two weeks, and your battery drain is very significant (I'd say more than 2 hours less uptime - or less than 18 hours before you need to charge), first run a diagnostic on the battery then put in an error report.   @cypress585 's recommendation of Good Guardians is a good one.  The app booster should be run after each update or after a significant period of phone use, and certainly after a cache cleaning.  App booster is like Windows' defragmenter.  It puts all your apps back together and should reduce lag.

Hopefully this may help you, ive done this on my mom s22 Ultra, and my S24 Ultra

Download "Good Guardians", then within in the app download "Thermal Guardian, Galaxy app Booster, memory Guardian"
-For Thermal Guardian i turn on "fully performance" settings and increased the Thermal threshold to keep the performance all of the time, but your sacrificing battery drainish and you may see a little Thermal throttle if it gets VERY hot. You can also do "balance mode", and decrease or slightly increase the Thermal threshold to balanc-ish performance and battery.
-Galaxy Booster App, use it after every update and clearing up cache partition.
-Memory Guardian, use it every week or noticeable weak performance to clean up. (You can change how your phone memory runs within the app)

Another thing, uninstall or force stop apps you dont use. Always check Google app store update manually from settings.

Also, some apps you can archive. You don't lose data doing so. The icon is still on your phone. If you need the app again just restore it.
