It seems that every morning, my Google Gboard keeps changing from the black theme (I'm not using Dark Mode) back to the default white theme. It did it so often last month that I thought I had a virus (yes, I do have an antivirus program running), and did a factory reset.

Anyone else having this problem?

I have the S22 Ultra with latest updates.

Thanks

Hello @DaUrge57, I, too, am facing the same problem but not on a Samsung phone but on a Google Pixel phone, so this is likely a bug, if it is, then it runs across all brands not just Samsung. I have to change the theme every now and then when it automatically changes itself. Hopefully, Google will issue an update ASAP as nothing seems to fix it, at least not permanently.

On my S24+ the theme reverts (or defaults) to the white theme, but not always. Once I select it for an app, when I return, the theme is usually still black, but not always. Glitchy

Hey there! I can absolutely understand how frustrating it can be when your settings keep going back to default after changing them! I would suggest submitting an error report to Google by following these steps!

Send Gboard feedback through Android Settings
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open SettingsSamsungChelsea_0-1711239789894.png
  2. Tap System Languages and input.
  3. In the top right corner, tap HelpSamsungChelsea_1-1711239789895.png
  4. At the bottom of the page, tap Send Feedback.
