S22 Ultra: After the One UI 7.0 release, my bottom navigation bar is stuck on top of apps when I open them. I already cleared cache for the One UI app. It blocks my ability to tap buttons/links in apps, and I don't like the swipe gestures feature. I like having my 3 buttons on my navigation bar when I need them.

You may also need to clear data for One UI Home. But before you do that, try clearing device cache from recovery. Here are the steps for how to do that:

1) Turn off your device.

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

I performed the "wipe cache partition" and it didn't change anything. Also, not sure if this helps give a clue as to the root cause, but I noticed the icons are new on my S22 + but not on my S22 Ultra, which is the one having the issue. (I use the S22+ for work)

Which icons are you referring to? App icons, system icons, or everything?

The apps that are standard on my device like Camera, Phone, etc. They still look exactly the same as before the One UI 7.0 update on my S22 Ultra, but changed on my S22+

Interesting. I wonder if maybe your Ultra didn't update quite right.

Before going with the nuclear option ... do you use Good Lock? NavStar lets you change the height of the nav bar. I'm thinking a little tweak of nav bar height might reset something?

I'll try that next. I'm trying to avoid going nuclear 😅

It did the trick and now I can hide my navigation bar again. Plus I lowered the height to be extra sure. Thanks for your help!

Excellent! Glad it worked! If you wouldn't mind, please mark the appropriate post as a solution. It could help someone else with the same issue.

I'm dumb. I need more explanation on this solution. I have a couple apps that the navigation bar hinders from using.
