Hey, I think we can all agree that this update is pretty rough around the edges and there are many things that were done that were not designed with the user in mind. My biggest annoyance is around the notifications bar. Prior to this update, I could swipe down and see all notifications and then access the much less engaged settings as needed. Now, when I swipe down, I am shown the settings and tools first, then I must make a second swipe to get to my notifications. As the notifications are the more highly desired feature, why am I shown the settings and tools first? This is creating significant friction in my ability to see my more desirable experience.

Has anyone found if there is a setting to change this? Or has Android UI decided to purposefully limit customization and prioritized creating an annoying experience?

@TG95 If you swipe down from the top left side of the screen, you will go immediately to your notifications.

If you swipe down from the top right of the screen, you will go immediately to your quick panel.

If you swipe down from either side, you can jump to the other screen by swiping sideways.

Awesome. Thank you! Sucks if you are right handed but that at least provides a direction! I discovered the side swiping

You can also swipe down anywhere on the home screen. Long press the home screen, go to settings, toggle "swipe down for notification panel."1746651479077.jpg

Swipe down on the right to bring up the settings panel, click the pencil icon on the top right and then panel settings on the top left. Change the main setting from separate to together and you'll get the old notification and settings panel back

Took me a minute, but I found that also. Very aggravated customer, I am. I tried not to do the update, but it kept coming back. I wish I had just kept rescheduling it. I have had a Samsung for a long time and I am now in the search for a new phone. I used to defend my samsung phone to IPhone user's, but now I have nothing good to say other than we all have different opinions about what kind of phones we like. Samsungs rating just went down down down.
