How do I make pictures download as .jpg instead of .heic files?

Is there any way to have pictures download as .jpg instead of .heic files?  I find I cannot print out .heic photos!!

In Camera settings -> "Format and advanced options" you can turn off "HEIF pictures". Then future pictures will be saved as .jpg.
