Chat settings not working on Samsung Messages on S21+

I need to reset the chat settings on my phone so I can stop the duplicate text messages. Can I get help with this?

What you really need to do is switch to GOOGLE messages, problems solved!

Everyone don't like google messages, Why u always trying to force someone to use Google messages?.... Idk if this person likes it or not but every time someone complain about samsung messages you quickly tell them to use Google messages

Oh okay gotcha that's true, They know them features not there so why keep asking about them

Because they think if they ask Samsung enough times, they are going to get it. It's the carriers that don't want to add it . They don't want to invest in the massive infrastructure to implement RCS on their servers. With the addition of high res video and photos carriers have to store them for 30 days. Google messages go through Googles Jibe servers.

Well I have that on my samsung messages app and the only carrier that don't have rcs is at&t from what I see

I don't have it on Verizon!

I have been using Google Messages since they added RCS back in 2019. You had to jump through hoops to get it. I installed it on all my Android peeps too. Pretty big circle of android peeps, never looked back.
Nice to get full resolution photos and videos for the almost 7 yrs I have been using it. Watching all of the nieces and nephews growing up has been amazing.

Oh yea I forgot Verizon did get rid of rcs also

I do not like Google Messages. Samsung should fix this problem considering it's their messaging problem.
