What apps are not working? If some apps don't work, your device might not have the required operating system for those apps. On the app store, you can find the required operating system of a particular app under app info.

Do you have an S9+ ?

Being your on android 9 apps will not be as available to use sine might still but many are android 10 or higher

The Samsung S8+ was released over 7 years ago. There will be apps in the app store which don't work with a device that old.
