I paid well over $2,000 for my device....

I shouldn't have Samsung's Galaxy app and others, popping up with ads asking me if I want to rate it.

Intrusive pop-up ads asking me if I want to rate something is a guaranteed one star rating since one cannot rate any lower than such.

Can we knock it off already with the gosh darn ads?

Oh I know this is nothing new I've never used a phone that wasn't a Samsung but I just felt like ranting about it for no reason because of the fact that it had just actually happened. What pisses me off is that Samsung went back on their word because if you happen to remember if you had even heard it was like a year or two ago where Samsung admitted and said that they were going to remove ads from the very expensive s lines of devices and pretty much leave the ads to the more peasant a line devices and lower apparently they decided to go back on that though

Samsung does not serve up ads, apps do. If you open an app that wants you to rate it, its a reminder to rate the app. Either rate it or dismiss the popup. Then complain to the apo developers.

Are you talking about ads in the Samsung app store? If so, see photos.1765813752773.jpg1765813752782.jpg1765813752796.jpg1765813752814.jpg

Never once in my entire history with Samsung phones has this ever happened.  The only time I ever get a pop up ad is sometimes when I enter the Galaxy store the first time in awhile.

In the App Stores, it asks you the first time you log in if you want to receive ads, for example, from the Galaxy App Store. Once that's shut off and you say no, you will have no pop-ups. However, when you access an app, if that app is allowed to show ads, you will get an ad from that specific app. It has nothing to do with the manufacturer itself, but you can shut off all ads and have none on your device. You just have to realize that everything you download on your device is its own thing so you're going to have to go through anything you've allowed to give you ads and shut off the permissions.
