Ever since the most recent update to Android 16, One UI 8.0, all of my apps will open up on the last screen even after closing out of all apps.
For example, if im on Facebook in the Marketplace tab and I close the Facebook app from there. Whenever I reopen the app, even hours later, it opens right back up to the same Marketplace page.
Same thing with Instagram, if im watching a random reel and close the app from there. Whenever I reopen the app hours later it will open at the same exact reel.
Prior to the latest update this was never an issue but now its just become extremely annoying. The only way ive found to "fix" this is by force closing an app and then clearing its cache. Anyone else having this issue or know how to solve it? Samsung s23 for the record.
Yeah im not sure. I dont think every app developer would design the exact same feature. Especially when it was never like this before the latest update. Possible yeah, not probable though
Facebook and Instagram are both Meta apps so they have the same developers. It is also possible that it is a new Android OS feature that the apps have taken advantage of.
Maybe yeah, i was using those as examples but I see it with all of my apps. Google Messages, Google search bar, Samsung Internet, Netflix, TikTok, Fantasy Football. Could be a developer thing but idk. Some posts on reddit here show people with different phones and apps having the same issue.
