Samsung Messages were blue now they are back to green. I can no longer see if someone is typing and the "advanced messaging" option is gone
I thought it would be smart to try Google messages. Didn't like it so I switched back. It kept saying registration failed so I got on support with Samsung, deactivated my number in Google. The support guy remotely reinstall Google messages. I told him I want to go back to Samsung messages that have been blue since last year! Now they're back to green plus the advance feature is gone. I have the chat options on but nothing. Can't see read receipts or typing.
Your Samsung Messages lost RCS, causing messages to turn green and removing features like typing indicators and read receipts. Check Settings > Chat Settings to ensure Chat Features are on. Clear cache/data for Samsung Messages and restart your phone. Disable Chat Features in Google Messages, wait, then switch back. Update Samsung Messages and Carrier Services in the Galaxy Store/Play Store. If RCS still doesnāt work, your carrier may have moved support to Google Messages only.
