I came to the Samsung Community site when I got my first Samsung phone. My primary reason was to determine how some of the features of the phone worked. I soon discovered that I could answer a lot of questions that other users posted. I enjoy helping people solve issues so that they can use their devices to the max. Pretty soon I was a frequent visitor and helper.
It warms my heart when, after I show my non-technical wife a new Samsung feature or tool, she shares it with her friends. She enjoys being the Samsung resource for them.
I was asked to join the Samsung Ambassador beta program in mid 2019. I was invited to my first unpacked in August 2019 for the Galaxy Note 10. I was shocked because I had no idea that Samsung invited avid users to these events. The event was so exciting and fun that I knew Samsung really cared for their users. This doubled my interest in helping others learn about the new Samsung products and solve any issues that they encountered.
I've been invited to attend a few other unpacked events including the one Seoul in July 2023 and the one just before the Paris Olympics in 2024. One thing that was unexpected is being able to connect with Samsung Members Stars from all over the world. I have made a lot of good friends and keep in touch with many of them. BTW, the Ambassador title will probably change to Stars to align with the global Samsung titles.
I am blessed once again to be invited to Galaxy Unpacked 2025 and the Samsung Members Connect event on January 22, 2025. I am very excited to see the Samsung Upcoming Phones! The S25 series looks like it is shaping up to be a great device. And what is this surprise AI assistant that Samsung is hinting at? Can't wait to see it.
Typically the unpacked event gives us time to have some hands on time with the new devices. We are usually given missions to perform with the new devices. You may have seen some of these posted from previous unpacked events from myself and other Ambassador/Stars.
It's almost time to pack my bags for the trip. In addition to the Samsung devices, I am excited to see familiar faces and meet new ones.
