Received the new S20 yesterday and everything is working perfectly except for notifications.
I have searched every forum and searched through all the settings on both the apps and the notification settings and everything is as it should be, but still no notification sounds.
The only unusual thing is when I go through the list of sounds no sample is played. Could it be that for some reason no files are actually attached to the ringtones?
I've tried all the solutions and still not working on my s20.
I get notification sounds through Bluetooth, but with Bluetooth disabled I hear nothing. Not even if I directly go to the notification volume control.
Whats odd is that if I change Ringtone volume and then immediately change notification volume, then I'll get the notification sound. But if I just try changing notification sound ill get nothing.
This may be the last samsung I buy. Its ridiculous how long this issue is going on.
I found another oddity. If a video is playing, for example in YouTube in Chrome or samsung internet, then text notification sounds come through. But close the video and no more notifications.
All text notifications. I don't know of any other notifications to check.
But i literally open the volume controls and slide the notification bar, and no notification sounds are heard. And if i go into the "notification sound" controls and choose different sounds, nothing is emitted.
