This app came pre-installed by Samsung on my S23. I want no part of it but it cannot be uninstalled. When disabled within App settings, it continues to operate and does not disappear from list of Apps despite Samsung claiming it will.
I continue to get notifications of new messages from the app eventhough I am using voicemail from my carrier. Is there a proven method to truly disable Samsung's visual voicemail (or uninstall it but don't think that's possible based on what I've read)??

I would think at some point you activated or started the visual voicemail for it to be giving notification

Thank you for the link. For others knowledge, none of the steps Samsung suggests work...
1. Visual VM cannot be disabled in the phone app
2. Have already spoken with my carrier, they have no control over this app
3. Voicemail option not listed under default Messaging app settings.
4. My current software is up to date.
5. Clearing Phone app cache did not work. I don't want to clear data as that will wipe out info I need such as call logs, blocked numbers.
I've read multiple posts from users on other forums, not this one, stating Visual VM is impossible to disable or uninstall. Unfortunately at this point, I believe that is the case.

One other suggestion i have is to put the visual voicemail app to "deep sleep" by going into the "device care" app. This will prevent the app from running in the background. I also recommend turning off all notifications (Deep sleep normally disables them) and disable all permissions for the visual voicemail app. Doing this until you find out how to ultimately disable or uninstall the app for good.
