Currently, Samsung uses the Propriety Power Deliver Extension for full 15w fast wireless charging, and it's only avaliable for Samsung and certified third parties, of which there's only one from Spigen. Non-certified chargers are limited to 10 watts. If your customers are spending $1-$2,000 on a phone, the expectation is any Qi certified charger works. This is not the case, and is largely disappointing, especially from a company known for allowing many customizations. When Qi2 is supported, will Samsung remove the regular Qi restrictions? There remains no benefit to artificially limiting what chargers we can use, and there's not much of a point to upgrade solely to use the full 15w already supported, but limited, on the phone.
