Suggestion: new ideas for a battery saver

The first would be a battery saver that as the phone gets to a certain battery level that, if enabled, it could really tone done the processor to use very little power, like we could use one or two cores instead of all of them. 

The second idea would be a setting that we could toggle from low to high, on how much processing power we want our phones to use. I don't use my phone phone often as i don't do a lot of tasks. What if i could scale my processors to 75% or 50%. They might be slower but phones are so quick i doubt that we would see the difference in speeds.

These kinds of options don't exist. The options given are really limited in scope and in no way can put cores to sleep in those options and no way can you really lower power to let's say 33% of max by toggling a setting. Does it have power saving options? Yes it does but they are so simple that isn't the same

I think that the items you mentioned are included there, just not explicitly stated.

Also, in the Quick panel is Performance profile. It allows you to reduce processing power.

I like the idea that when your battery drops to X%, it triggers a battery saving mode of choice. That would be super useful so you don't die before you get to work or home. It might also teach you what behaviors to avoid and to be more frugal, so that "you can reach 4 pm without throttling" by avoiding starbucks (or whatever...). I'd like to see someone expand on this idea. It sounds promising

Thank you. It just seems that my phone doesn't care how much battery i have. If i had 15% left, it will just let every app eat my battery up. Some apps i don't care about enough to keep notifications coming

This is why I have a few high maH battery packs for these kinds of situations.

Yeah but if it was built into the phone then you wouldn't need to charge a phone that had these features and those battery banks can be saved for something else.

What if you're down to a certain percentage and you put the battery into airplane mode to kill all of your applications and to save your battery, but you select a feature that tells your phone to allow certain apps to refresh every so many minutes. 

So i was in a power outage and so was my wife and she was at home and our phones were dying. It would be great if my phone automatically comes out of airplane mode, let's say every 15 minutes, only to allow my text app to work, and then once it gets the notifications, it quickly goes back, unless i send a text and it sends the text and then goes back, unless one of us selects that it is an emergency and it kicks the other person out of this mode because our phones are linked. That way when we lose power because we are in texas and this is normal here, we don't have to worry. Our phones can automatically send a text saying where we are and how much battery power we have. This feature could save lives. We wouldn't have to check on each other, as we would know that the other person has power. So if i don't hear from them, i do not have to rush home, i would know they're busy and not trying to use their battery. They could call it emergency airplane mode auto switching. And we could kill all apps that we don't need and take advantage of other battery savers too to really hammer it home
