Samsung music goes to start of tunes after pause

I have been struggling with this on my S10e, and tried pretty much everything I can think of but cannot resolve this. I would play podcasts with Samsung music and play through head phones or blue tooth on the car audio system. I updated the ap 2 days ago and now whenever the audio file is paused, the file goes back to the start next time the file is played. I have downloaded the previous version that is the same as my wife's version on her S10e, (her phone does not have this problem) but it is still the same. Cleared cache and data, changed battery settings and uninstalled multiple times, no change. I hope someone can help. 3rd party apps do not do this, but the file management and adds make it not as good as the Samsung app.

Try to toggle allow third party devices to start playback. It should stop it from starting over as it keeps one item controlling whatever you're listening to.

I installed  previous version Samsung Music 16.2.36.2 and it fixed it. The latest and previous version to that both did the same thing. The third party toggle would stop bluetooth control which I need to work.  Thanks for the answer, hopefully will help someone in the same boat. Very grateful for it to be working again as third part apps are riddled with adds and are not as easy to navigate to the desired file

I have just seen on Playstore reviews that I am not alone with this problem and others have had exactly the same problem. As far as updates goes, I have always been a bit of a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kind of guy, and this is why.

I have had the same problem I'm listening to music on my headphones then i pause it i usually listen to mixes that can be up to 3hrs long. When i replay the mix by pressing play on my headphones it starts the mix from the beginning. Is so frustrating

Has anyone got a solution please I even downloaded a new media player and got the same problem again
