Help! Has this happened to anyone else and how can I fix this?!

I've got a Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra phone which just did some system updates.

After the last one or so my whole home screen layout was completely gone as far as no app icons and the settings I had for it. The widgets, my folders of apps and icons, and even all the web browser pages I added as shortcuts icons to my home screen.

This has never happened before with any other update until now with the new UI 6.1 or something like that.

I've already tried to go into settings and under backup and restore to restore home screen but it did absolutely nothing at all!

I wouldn't be as frustrated as I know I could just manually put the app icons and my normal home screen settings back but I'm more frustrated because of what I can not get back which is all the important web pages I added to home screen.

Can someone please tell me this is a way to recover this and fill me in on how??! That would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!!

I can not register to have the one Ui7 beta update. There is no banner or notification for the update. My phone is updated, and it is an s24. If you could tell me, that would be awesome.

Go to device settings > home screen > home screen layout. change it to "home screen only" then back to "home and apps screens". See if that fixes it.

Thanks I tried it but it didn't.

Like I said I get it if I'm **bleep** and not a huge of a deal to have to manually put the apps back and fix my home screen layout again but if there were a way to get back and or even see a list of the web pages I added to home screen since those icons I cannot get back or figure out what they all were, even something to help just that would be great!

I am sorry to hear that an update has completely taken away your custom setup on your device.

You don't have a back up your device externally anywhere?

I have redundancy in place just for situations such as this. My device is backed up on a computer and a thumb drive that I carry with me. Once every 2 weeks, I perform a new backup !

Yes, I am a little **bleep** about this. It's better to be safe than sorry!
