Years ago I tried to factory reset my phone and couldn’t get past the FRP lock despite having the original account and correct credentials (verified as correct by Samsung Find my ID and logging into the account on other devices). I also past the 2FA process via Phone number and email but when I try to login I get an error stating “Sorry, something went wrong, please try again.” And I get taken back to the login screen. This repeats. I decided to try again tonight and am still having the same issue many years later.

The email is correct and it is 100% the original account as checked via Samsung “Find my ID”. The credentials are correc as I can login on other devices. I passed the 2FA via phone number and email. Yet my Galaxy S9 that I payed close to $1000 for is essentially bricked. I am incredibly frustrated and I don’t know what to do. I’ve seen a number of people with a similar if not the exact same issue but I have not found any kind of resolution.

What do I do?

If you haven't used that Gmail address in a while, it may have been cancelled. Google purged a lot of inactive accounts recently. If that's the problem, there may not be anything you can do.

Thanks for the response. I still actively use the same email address so that shouldn’t be the problem.

Well, that's not bad, because I've been on it developing my phone I think it's the fact I can't update my software because my old sim card had puk code so I took tgat sim card out put in my sim card off my A3. Different number but hasn't been in use over a year I know I have to activate it register it with straight talk. Can not do it with out service card. Or it would not let me when I tried. I for got my email and password to both sim card I know I have to talk to a person to get the sim cards straightened out but my text now number works. Samsung update through Gemini said I need software up date and said Samsung would not send an software update with the sim card not available because my other issues I am having I'd Gemini is not saving Geminis activities and with my apps acting up I sure itz s software issues update that I can't get i can't afford to buy 45 dollars phone card at the moment but I will n need a 3 rd part phone to call on while the update this phone. This phone r been out of service 3 months. So how do I go about getting a software update through Samsung without activating my sim card i bet that's my whole problem.
