Galaxy S PhonesUsing a third party launcher feels like having to configure a new phone, and so I figure since I need a new phone, just buy one from a company that cares... Though there are not many of those left.

Galaxy S PhonesAnd, one UI7 has not been out for two years. So, I don't know how it has been annoying you for two years.

Galaxy S PhonesUsing "fanbois" as a pejorative is not the insult you think it is. There is nothing wrong with being a fan or defender of Samsung. For the record, I'm not a fan, I'm a practicalist. If you don't like the search bar at the bottom, that's alright, but it is the decision that Samsung made. If you want to get your message to the developers to consider changing it back, send feedback. In the meantime you have to live with the changes or change devices. A choice you have to, and are entitled to make.
With any production decision on any product ever made, consumers have to decide whether they can or can't live with changes made and act accordingly by addressing their dissatisfaction with the company or simply switching to another product, whether it's phones or laundry detergent. Suggesting to someone that they switch brands does not make them a "fanboi".
