Galaxy RingI would think that, just like any other Bluetooth device, it will stay connected as long as it's in range or manually disconnected. Unless the case is shielded somehow to block the BT, or the ring is programmed to disconnect when removed from your finger - much the same way ear buds disconnect when removed from the ears. Since the ring and phone exchange data, it's possible it stays connected. My watch does not disconnect from the phone when it's removed from my wrist unless I move the phone out of range.
