Galaxy Note PhonesHi
My Samsung Note 20 battery failed this week. The battery swelled up and broke the back cover so it is now completely open and will no longer close. At the beginning of the week it would only turn on for a few minutes. Now it just goes through a boot cycle (initial screen only).
I would like to recover three years of Samsung specific notes - written with S-pen and voice recordings in Samsung apps - which are not backed up.
Could anyone help.. If I get the battery changed in a repair store, will the phone work, or is something more fundamental broken than just the battery if it is now stuck in the boot screen?

Galaxy Note Phones@fulapmu2 You would need to take it to a service center to determine if replacing the battery would restore the phone to operation.

Galaxy Note PhonesYou need to take it to a uBreakiFix location to see if they can replace the battery. Since the phone is long out of warranty it's going to cost you. Even if they cannot repair it, or you find it too costly, they may be able to move your data to a flash drive or cloud storage. Why have you not backed anything up? Do you think no disaster is going to strike? When your battery started giving you trouble, you should have immediately backed up anything important to you. Are you sure you did not have notes sync on? Voice recordings are included in the nightly auto backup (unless you excluded it from the backup). I don't believe you can disable the automatic backup, only items to be backed up/synced.
Whether your notes are restored to a flash drive or contained in a cloud backup, they can only be restored to another Samsung device.
If you don't have a uBreakiFix location near you, perhaps you have a BestBuy. Geek Squad may be able to extract your data.
