I know the note 20 ultra has been discontinued but I was wondering if it was a work around or some other option, for my issue. So I just got the phone today and it keeps asking g me to update to 5.1 but after it dose the download and reboot it goes boots up then ask me to do it again. Is this a glitch can I fix it or will I just have to ignore?
There are other posts about this issue called update loop or reboot loop. Some have reported that there may be several months of backlog of updates and to keep doing each one until the phone is completely updated.
Each time you are asked to update, check to see if it's the same update or a different one. Just because you are getting update notifications, doesn't mean they it is the same one repeatedly. Each update has an information screen where you can see what's being installed. If the phone hasn't been updated in a while, you will likely have multiple security and UI updates until you get to completely up to date for the model you have.
