Why is the iPhone still ahead of Samsung in low light videos? Low light videos on Galaxy S25 Ultra are still very noisy and lack details compared to iPhone 16 Pro Max. Their main camera sensors seem to have comparable specs so it doesn't seem like iPhone has a hardware advantage. So why has Samsung still not achieved noise free videos in videos despite being such a big company with massive resources?

You are picking one aspect only as your comparison. What about the pea oh es iPhone zoom capability? I believe the iPhone zoom capability produces worse pictures and videos than Samsung's zoomed pictures and videos.

Yeah, zoom past 3x is better on Samsung phones (and up to 3x is comparable) but still, low light photo and video is much better on iPhone whether it be because of hardware or software samsung has been lacking for ages in terms of low light quality. There's pros and cons to both cameras, but the idea is if iPhone can make good low light why can't samsung? Unless having better low light quality somehow kills your daytime quality lol...

I would presume it's because Apple is Apple and Samsung is Samsung.  They utilize different hardware and different technologies.  One should purchase a phone based on what aspects are important to them and what they are willing to compromise on. So, if another brand meets one's needs better, they are better off with that brand, rather than comparing apples to oranges and then complaining that the orange is not an apple.
