How is it that 7 generations in, Samsung hasn't figured out just how incredibly annoying it is for the camera array to be vertical? My one singular complaint about the 7 (I don't even care about the cost at this point because you know what you're getting) is the fact that you can't set it down on a table and not have it rock awkwardly. The pixel figured this out a long time ago. Is there some weird licensing thing that stops Samsung from making an obvious design choice? Are they just that desperate to sell cases? For the life of me, I can't see the upside to configuring it the way that they do.
Considering the phone's folded state, how might one grasp or manipulate the top portion without inadvertently touching the camera lenses?

Should you intend to set the phone down for use, it would be advisable to place it on a soft cloth, which can help to safeguard the camera lenses from potential scratches.
I have a Pixel 9proxl, having the visor camera bar is far superior to the camera array on my S25U.
Picking up the device and touching the lenses is so not a thing when grabbing it. There is also the added benefit of it being a resting point for better grip.
I have a Pixel 9proxl as well as my S25U, the camera visor on my Pixel is better for so many reasons.
I don't know how you grab your phone, I never inadvertently touch the camera bar. It is also better for grip because you can rest your fingers right under the camera bar.
I don't see why this would be any different on the Pixel fold.
