Galaxy Note Phones
Hello , I have a Samsung a15 5g that the screen had just blacked out on me one day while charging. So I had ordered another one and connected. Now how can I transfer my old data to new phone. I've tried to use a adapter with Hdmi no luck there. I don't what else I can do other than repair the broken device. I don't like the fact its still connected to things and may being used in some trickery way. Would it be possible that it got shut down remotely somehow? Im probably a prospect for something like that happening. Well i would love to retrieve that old data if so possible. Thanks

You don't need an HDMI cable for Samsung Smart Switch.

Smart Switch is primarily for transferring data between phones using Wi-Fi, a USB cable (with an adapter if needed), or a PC/Mac.

HDMI cables are for connecting your phone to a TV to mirror the screen (using Samsung DeX) or view media, not for the Smart Switch data transfer process itself.

Might have to try the Samsung dex. I have a aftermarket muti USB adapter that I tried the USB and hdmi to mirror the broke device. Dont think it works though. Thanks
