I just switched from 15 years iOS to this Z Fold 7. No matter how many times I turn off all services for date and time and leave it set to EST zone, after s few days no matter what state. In, the phone is set to local time and all toggles for auto time and locations are turned on. This is extreme frustrating bc I use my phone as an alarm and Google calendar sync for appointment deliverirs in this semi truck. Literally I can't have this phone ghost writing in my settings. I will have to get rid of it if I can't rely on my time zone to stay in EST while I travel. Thanks.

I have been using Samsung phones since the Galaxy S3 and have never heard of nor experienced any random change in time zone. I'm not saying I don't believe you, I'm just saying that I doubt that it's the fault of One UI8. I believe you may have downloaded some malicious app that is changing the settings. I would suggest going back and deleting the most recent apps you installed and see if that corrects the problem.

Thanks. That's not an option. I have the same apps from iOS on here except for the ones that aren't made for Android. It's good you're defending the android system and have had exceptional service. I'm only here for someone that has experienced what I have. I will get to the cause of it ( or not and migrate back to iOS) but don't want to spend countless hours, as I am right now, you tubing and searching for a remedy. Thanks again.

Has this been happening since you got the phone or just since a recent update?  Have you tried clearing the phone's cache partition?  If you have your phone on automatic time settings, it should sync properly.  If that fails, prior to tossing your phone and returning to your previous brand, you should try a factory reset.  Restoring your backup should not reproduce this error.

I will try that later. It's been 1 hour and 52 minutes this morning alone of me working on this. But I have to work. I neglected my morning routine for this bc it's paramount to what I do.

The screenshot you shared is exactly what I do not want and keep toggled off. Yet a few days from now my settings screen will match your screenshot exactly, then I toggle everything off again.

I've had this phone a few weeks. Started using the alarm about 10 days ago and began to notice the switch when I didn't wake up in eastern time. When I'm In the west coast it's imperative my alarm and body stay east coast synced.

There was an update this morning when I woke up but I haven't noticed any updates before prior to it performing this way. It will probably end up being something simple to correct this and I will most certainly post about it here and laugh. It's just not a laughing matter currently.
Thanks.

I misunderstood. I thought, as a truck driver, you wanted automatic time changes.  I have this problem when cruising.  We need to stay on ship's time when onshore and I have to turn of automatic time zone when the ship's clock changes.  It stays manual until I turn on my cell service on shore, and then it reverts to automatic, then I have to adjust everything all over again.  I think the carriers prefer automatic.  It will stay on manual as long as you are on wi-fi only or in airplane mode. I have my phone set to keep the roaming clock on my lock screen, which shows local time and home time while on mobile data.  The dual clock widget is also a viable option, and you can set your alarm based on the time the local clock shows  relative to your home time zone.  The only problem with that, is you have to keep adjusting the local time zone for the second clock. Your phone's clock has it's own "world clock" and you can set your "favorite" time zones and view them in the clock app by tapping your clock.  No real need for a third party world clock app unless it does something unique for you (like setting the alarm for the time zone you are in or will be in - most world clocks apps I've seen do not have this option).

The only other option I can suggest to you is to get a mobile hotspot device, keep your phone in airplane mode with wi-fi and BT turned on, set your time/time zone manually, set wi-fi calling to on and then connect to your mobile hotspot when you are on the road.  Your manual settings will stay as long as you are not connected to your mobile network.

For now I've downloaded a third party World Time Clock and have it on my home screen so I can glance at it when I'm going paperwork to confirm time stamps. Doesn't correct the alarm issue but keeps me knowing real time at a glance my time zone, when not using my physical watch .

No problem. I am grateful for all suggestions.
Some OTR trucking information (Over The Road). All trucks I've owned and driven use android / Samsung tablets for our elogs. Elogs , electronic logs that track every move the trick makes, are always set to the state, time zone of the domicile company. For instance, a east coast company with office locations in many other states, will be set to log all activities in EST. Regardless if the drivers are based in California 3 hours behind, their logs are in EST. I live 24 hours a day 7 days a week in this truck for months at a time before going home. So I have a system of tablets and phones as my command center attached to my dashboard panel that I reference constantly when setting appointments, waking up, etc. I keep my personal phone, previously iPhone, now android set to EST always bc in a day I travel thru sometimes 3 time zones and that gets discombobulating at times. But it doesn't bc I have that one phone with the EST clock sitting there as a light house anchor letting me know what my actual time zone is. Sometimes I actually have to look at what day of the week or is bc of so much driving. The elog tablet is for elogs. I don't go into it to try to see a clock or anything. It's strictly for logging all DOT compliant moves. ....

I'm in the middle of my work day and have to stop typing again. I'll be back. I have a ton of social media of me logging transportation daily life though. ...

I'll chime back in to finish the point I was making.

FYI
This morning my Android flipped back to central time zone again with all buttons toggled on after I toggled everything Off yesterday morning and set it to EST zone.
Wow. It does this every day.

No worries. I still have my iPhone as an alarm clock but will have to figure out why this z fold 7 keeps toggling everything on randomly after about 24 hours?

As I said, It appears to me that the carrier is controlling the setting.  The only way I have found to keep it set to manual is to keep my phone in airplane mode and connected to wi-fi.  Once I reconnect to my mobile network, all settings go back to automatic.  I don't know if all carriers do this, or just mine.  Do you, by any chance, have T-Mobile?  My sister and I got around this by her buying a mobile hotspot and a hotspot plan, and we turn that on when we get off our ship at a port where the time zone changes from ship's time  (even though we have unlimited data almost everywhere in the world, it's just easier to use the hotspot to keep our manual time settings). If it is a carrier controlled thing, perhaps you can call your carrier, explain your situation and see if they can turn that off for your phone.  You can always go the route of an old fashioned battery operated travel alarm clock like this one https://a.co/d/8hBJJ9t.  Who says everything has to be high tech?  Also, set your calendar app to lock the time zone to your selected time zone.  In Samsung calendar, go to calendar settings and slide "lock time zone" to on.  In Google calendar go to settings/general and slide off "use device time zone" and then set the time zone you want to keep your events at.

I've used T-Mobile for years. I use the wifi tower in here also when I need to use WiFi.
That's not a viable option to switch my phone to airplane mode and do those extra steps daily. I'm in and out of this truck all day and need to be available for calls texts, check ins, faxes, etc.

I do go to airplane mode most nights while I sleep bc studies show the phone signals disrupt sleep cycles. My Oura Ring confirms better sleep also.

I've used many commercial alarm clocks (super loud) also bc those were the only options 15 years ago when I started driving professionally and phone alarms and home plug in clocks weren't loud enough bc the truck idles like a helicopter while sleep but that's white noise to a trucker and it drowns out home alarm clocks and phones. But since I have an APU cooling system these last few years, I've been able to use my phone since it's quiet in the sleeper while sleep and not idling anymore.

I'm going to pause and not worry or focus on this issue anymore right now bc I've exerted a lot of time trying to figure it out. I have so many other classes, and forms to complete.

Thank you.
I'll chime back in once I'm ready to tackle this issue again. Plus I'll keep monitoring it.

Even the Samsung tablet has everything toggled off bc it has to stay in central time zone for my Elogs. So my iPhone ( in EST) and the tablet are always toggled off all the time and always stay there. Weird how this anomaly keeps happening with the z fold.

Thanks again.
