Does anyone having issues with whatsapp video call camera showing black screen?

My camera on whatsapp video call stopped working from yesterday.

Hello.

I'm facing a serious issue with video calls on WhatsApp. The video feed from my camera is suddenly showing a black screen during calls.

My Device & Software:

• Phone: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7

• WhatsApp Version: 2.25.23.77

• One UI Version: 8.0

• Android Version: 16

Steps I've Taken (without success):

1. Permissions: I have completely reset and re-enabled all permissions for WhatsApp.

2. Cache/Data: Clearing both the cache and data for the app did not solve the problem.

3. Factory Reset: I performed a full factory reset of the phone and reinstalled WhatsApp on a clean system, but the issue persists.

My Discovery & Temporary Fix: The only thing that helps is enabling "Video Call Effects" during the call. The moment I tap the effects icon, my video appears, and the person I'm calling can see me. However, as soon as I disable the effects, my video freezes.

I believe this problem started around August 28, 2025. It seems to be a conflict between a recent system update and WhatsApp.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. I hope the Samsung developers can look into this.

Same here. Only it didn't start working even when I disabled video call effects. Very frustrating

I am facing the same issue . The store engineer told that it was a software issue and whatsapp glitch . Please suggest a fix, in case if you found a solution

Same issue. WhatsApp video call starts with a black screen. Once I toggle effects, the camera works again. I just bought this phone for my wife, its really frustrating to be having such an issue on the first day of using it.

I joined the WhatsApp beta program, this fixed it for me.

Same for me. It worked last weekend but today my camera just shows my initial.

Herhalde Samsung hala durumun farkında değil benim de tahminen 25 Ağustos gibi bu problemi başladı Z filip 7 Black kullanıyorum
