Is it a way to pre-order the ultra ( Z fold 7) by trading the S25/ ultra? I only see the option of S24/ ultra only. Just wondering if anyone who wanted to trade in the S25/ ultra will be able to have the deal as well.
I just can't bring myself to consider buying a folding phone at premium prices, mainly because I think a folding display is just a bad idea, no matter how many high-tech solutions manufacturers may have for the wear and tear of folding and unfolding that device thousands of times. But I REALLY appreciate people like you who go in - depth to tell us the REST of the story (and you are one of the few). Thanks again for your great posts@
@kmb1 idk Man, I'm my fourth Fold device right now, waiting for the fifth, next week. When I first folded a phone in half, it felt like magic. Years later, it still does every time I do it. They never broke on me, but to be fully transparent, I've only used each unit for a year, then swapped to a new model.

I've had my Fold 3 for almost 4 years and it still works and looks pretty good, aside from the inner display screen protector showing signs of wear. I have no complaints with it except if Fold 7 is a lot thinner and everything else about it is better, except 2 of the 3 cameras are exactly the same low quality ones as all the previous Folds, it's good enough for me to upgrade. Because we all know the next 3-4 years will be only incremental upgrades to the Fold 7 from here.
I too have ordered the Fold 7 1TB in black. It will be my first foldable device. I'm looking forward to having it. I've already order and received, from Amazon, a couple of cases for it.
Will you be doing a clean installation or will you use the Switch app, do you think? I will go with a clean install, I think.
I always do a clean set up. The Switch app works well, but I always feel like there is a possibility the process can bring some bugs with it, so I set up as new, then transfer data manually. Yes, it takes longer, but I don't mind it.

Yeah, I like a fresh phone. Helps me drop apps that I no longer use and frees up space on the phone, but with 1TB, that isn't an issue, but none the less, like I said, I like a fresh start.
I got a notification that my Black Fold 7 shipped too. Scheduled delivery on July 24. I wonder how many others are getting them, and if the color of the device makes any difference. I might start a new thread to ask about that, as this one seems to be all over the place.
