I have a Samsung Zfold 7 and an Acer laptop running Outlook  on Windows 11.  Iโ€™ve had Samsung Galaxy phones for years. Had a Zfold 3 before the 7. I use Samsung Mail and Samsung Contacts, as theyโ€™re obviously convenient.
Iโ€™ve used AkrutoSync for years to sync my contacts and calendar. It was the only program I could find when I started with it, but it has always been very cludgy, but now itโ€™s not working, and they havenโ€™t been very helpful.

What do you folks use to sync contacts and calendars?  Please understand when/if you answer that I'm not particularly tech savvy. So terminology that is probably obvious to you may well just be jargon to me.

Open the contacts app. Tap the dot menu and select settings. Look for "move contacts to other storage location. Choose from where you want the contacts moved and the contacts then select where to move them to.

You don't need to do anything after that. Your default contact location should now be Google, however, if it's mot, you can select it. You may already have some or all of your contacts in Google as the sync is automatic.

Thanks  Mujibar and nullandvoid. I've been having some IT issues unrelated to syncing. My son, who is a lot more tech savvy than I, is going to come later this week to troubleshoot, at which time we'll get back to this. I do appreciate your responses, and apologize for my own delayed reply.

No worries. Sounds to me like the syncing is largely unnecessary. I think the cloud-based calendar is your best bet. Post back (maybe make a new post) if you have other questions. Good luck!
