One UI is old and antiquated.

Icons are distractive. Good Lock make an attempt of modernizing the UI, but really needs to improve functionality.

Seriously, if you don't like the UI, buy a different brand of phone or choose a different icon pack. Every brand has its own UI, but most use the same Android icons, so they all look pretty much the same.  The new UI looks completely different, so that may solve your modernization issue.

Try a launcher, like Microsoft launcher

I always seem to come back to MS launcher. Just in this mood, having read about UI 8. Never ending.
