You can set "do not disturb" and it will block notifications from distracting your music listening.

Also depending on what music app u use like I'm using a model Music Player from HappyMod.cloud and it's got 3d and surround sound mode n if it's too high it'll fade in n out so I need to make those low even if my volume is at 175% n if yr using Samsung u might check out the Dolby Atmos settings and check out hearing enhancements in the accessibility there's mono n a setting to witch yr sound around where left is right n right is left and other settings to optimize yr sound.

You can do as was suggested and put on do not disturb when your music is playing - you can even create a mode or routine to automatically put it on when the music player is active.  You can also just turn off the volume for notifications in the volume panel (can also be automated via a mode or routine).  Be aware that with do not disturb on, unless you configure it to allow phone calls through, you will not get phone calls either, all calls will go directly to voice mail.  You can use separate app sound, and direct your music to another device - headphones or external speaker.  This way your music will play and you will still get your notification sounds.
