Fold & Flip Phones

I open the gallery app, click on a photo, fold my phone (galaxy flip6), the top half of the screen displays the photo while the bottom half displays a touchpad. I contacted support and we tried turning off the touchpad panel setting, turning off auto rotate, and wipe cache partition but the touchpad is still there. Any suggestions on how I can get rid of the touchpad?

@Pharos This is a feature called Flex mode.

But it looks like it can not be turned off in the Gallery. I went to phone settings -> Advanced features -> Flex mode panel and turned it off but it still appeared in the Gallery.

Yea it's very weird. I'm hoping the developers of the gallery app see the error request I submitted earlier today and fix the issue soon.

@Pharos What are you hoping they put there instead of the touchpad?

It doesn't seem useful to have the photo bend across the 2 sections of the screen.

I actually would prefer the photo to take up the whole screen. When it's on one screen it's way to small for me to read the stuff I'm taking pictures of. An option to make the photo full screen would be nice.

@Pharos You can always pinch to zoom in on the details of a photo. Or don't bend the phone when you are viewing photos in the gallery.

Here's the scenario: I'm sitting on the couch looking at my laptop. I decide to look at screenshots on my phone that I took so that I can look them up when I'm on my laptop. I need both of my hands free so I can use my laptop to search the stuff mentioned on the screenshots. I put my phone down so that I can do this. Now I go back to my phone. I decide to flip it so I can view the screenshots easier at an angle. Unfortunately the screenshot is only visible on the top half of the screen and it's harder to make out what I'm trying to read on the screen. Zooming in would take more time and would be less efficient. Viewing the screenshots while the phone is flat and not flipped makes the screenshot harder to view. What I have done to resolve this issue temporarily is by using a phone stand to hold my phone up at an angle. That way the screenshot is easier to view and I don't have to zoom in every time I swipe to the next screenshot I want to view. But this also defeats the purpose of having a flip phone. I should just be able to flip my phone and view the full screenshot without using a phone stand.
