Hey @SamsungMobile, I have some feature suggestions for the upcoming Z Fold series that I believe could enhance the user experience.

1. Gesture-Controlled Volume Button:

A flat, gesture-sensitive volume button where users can slide up or down to adjust the volume, similar to how the power button integrates the fingerprint sensor.

The button could still be physically pressable for added flexibility.

Adding customizable single and double-tap actions (e.g., app shortcuts or quick commands) would make it even more functional.

2. Built-in S Pen:

Integrating an internal S Pen slot would solve a real issue for users like me who don’t like using phone pouches just to carry the S Pen.

Offering two versions—one with an S Pen and one without—could cater to different budgets and preferences.

3. Refined Camera Design:

The under-display camera (UDC) on the unfolded inner screen is fantastic and adds to the seamless design.

However, the visible hole-punch camera on the outer screen breaks the uniform aesthetic. It would be amazing if Samsung could introduce an under-display camera on the outer screen as well, creating a clean, uninterrupted look on both displays.

I truly believe these improvements would make the Z Fold 7 stand out even more and reinforce Samsung's leadership in foldable innovation.

Thank you for considering these suggestions. I’m excited to see what’s next for the Fold series!

Best regards,

Jonah Obiman

My pre-orders have been received, thank you. Love the design and materials, well done. While I am not entirely satisfied with the lack of SPen functionality on my new Fold, and my S25U feels incomplete without the BT spen specialties, I comprehend the challenges Samsung is encountering. Particularly when media reviewers are continuously scrutinizing your progress. I am aware that you must remain ahead of your competitors, make significant upgrades, and make sacrifices. But you must know one of the primary reasons that led me to fully transition from my previous platform was the SPen.
I have been utilizing your product frequently and it has proven to be highly beneficial over the years. I have chosen to forego my reliance on my Mac iPad and iPhone in favor of your offerings. I used to carry a leather-bound notebook to jot down notes, as I am in the technology sector, and the SPen significantly improved my productivity. I now rely on AI more frequently, but there are instances when it is more effective to write rather than give audio commands.
I have chosen to endorse your company, as I am deeply integrated within the Samsung ecosystem (appliances, television, computer, etc.), and I genuinely appreciate and derive pleasure from your products. I am confident that this company will remain a significant player in the market for an extended period. The concept of a Samsung smart home is appealing, among other benefits.
I will utilize my Tab S10 plus for the moment for the SPen requirements, however, I would like to request that you restore the SPen in its entirety, please. I am aware that you are capable of balancing form and function. Please consider us too 🙏

This is a user to user support forum. There is an extremely low likelihood that anyone from Samsung will read anything posted here.

You can use the support tab in this app to send Feedback to Samsung directly.

Well, I finally upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy Zfold7, with 1TB of storage! So far, this is the best folding phone I've ever used! The crease is barely noticeable, the phone is very thin, and the battery is really good. I cannot wait to see what I can do with this phone.

@Fan05 Glad that you are enjoying it. I'm loving my Fold 7.

It's weird how a few millimeters here and there can make such a difference!

I am posting in the vain hope there is enough outcry that Samsung will listen. But with the 7 sales, I'm losing hope... ☹️.

I switched from the Note to the Fold at 2. I loyally (stupidly?) upgraded with each release even though the benefits were only slightly incremental. But I will not with the 7. I realize the removal of the digitizer saved ~0.6mm in thickness but lack of S Pen support means I won't be upgrading. I guess I'm in the minority who uses/loves the S Pen. I won't bother listing the myriad of use cases because S Pen users already know them all.

The only thing that gives me hope is the collaboration with HiDeep to provide a digitizer-less stylus functionality. I could care less about saving a full 1 mm in thickness. Please bring back the S Pen!

I have a feeling that's where they're heading. I'm seeing more indications each week that the S Pen is being phased out. Hopefully in favor of digitizer-less technology? It would be a real coup for Samsung to make that happen.

S Pen is a pretty niche feature. Vast majority of smartphone users dont understand the want/need for a stylus. I would venture to guess that this is reflected in Samsung's user data as well, hence the apparent phasing out of the s pen.

Add me to the list! Seems odd to me to upgrade and lose a signature feature, seems like a downgrade (imo). But I wouldn't look at sales as an indicator that Samsung will not bring the S-Pen back.
The ZF7 is the biggest upgrade in Fold history... each year prior was incremental changes, so the ZF7 is going to sell regardless of losing S-Pen support.
The idea that Samsung markets this as a tablet and does not include S-Pen support is simply a horrible decision.
