Fold & Flip Phones
I am very hopeful that the upcoming Z-Fold 8 will include a dedicated S-Pen. I would certainly choose it without hesitation. Ever since I was introduced to the Note 8, I have truly appreciated the wider screen and the additional functionalities that the S-Pen offers, which elevates our phones to a higher standard. Samsung, I sincerely hope you will not remove this feature! Please consider bringing it back in the next iteration of the Z-Fold. I can upgrade from my current Note to tje Z-Fold but nope, not without a dedicated S-Pen.

As folds get thinner, there is less room for the S Pen. Also, it looks like the S Pen might go away, starting with the S25 Ultra, and now the Tab S11 has no Bluetooth S Pen. The Fold 7 will have no S Pen support. It looks like the S Pen era is coming to an end.

In my opinion there's not a chance in you know what that the S-Pen will be included on the Fold 8. My guess is that it's going to become an accessory be purchased separately but will not be able to be housed within the phone.

Fold & Flip Phones
There are many options coming with folding phones. The obvious one is the trifold. They have also demonstrated the roll-up concept that shows great promise. With more screen real estate, the utility of a pen is much more useful, and I doubt that Samsung would abandon the pen entirely. The elimination of the S Pen was one of the reasons I didn't upgrade my Fold 6 this year. That, and the constantly improved ability to share with my Ultra tablet and Windows-based Book, make it sensible to just wait.
