Feature Request: Bring back mute from Volume button on the side of the phone

I guess by this logic they will soon take away the ability to get to vibrate via the volume buttons too and you will only be able to get to the lowesr volume. Because there are other ways to set to vibrate. And soon you won't even be able to change volume with the dedicated volume buttons. Because there are other ways to set the volume.

Bring back mute using volume buttons. My sleep schedule is impossible to routine with my occupation. I don't want to fumble around with settings and all that mess every time I need a sleep cycle. I just want to use the volume down button all the way to mute like I always have.

This topic has been done to d.e.a.t.h.  Put in feedback with the developers, as no action is going to result from the comments on this thread. Create the suggested routine and you will never even know the feature was taken away.  If you choose not to take any of the suggestions or create the routine, you are not really interested in a solution.

Yes, but everyone who is upset about this should do the same. The more complaints they get, the more likely to pay attention.

As for my support, I gave about 6 remedies for the immediate term. Is it my fault no one wants to use them? Continuing to feed this and the three other posts on the subject, will not result in action on Samsung's part, and if people really NEED this feature, they will take one of the actions suggested

Stupidest thing they did with this new update! Are they trying to force me to have volume on???? I get vibration on my watch, I dont want it on my phone too.

This needs to be addressed. Please restore the functionality of the volume button to lower all the way to mute/silent.

I agree. Why on earth would they remove the ability to turn off vibration by using the volume button? This seems like a basic function that should never change.
