Enhancement Request: Hi all, im not sure if this is just some major oversight by Samsung or something but im submitting this post as a formal request to add a setting to one ui for Fold Devices to display the beautiful wallpaper on the lock screen when unfolded while locked.
Z Fold Inner Display Lock Screen Functionality:
We propose an enhancement to the user experience for the unfolded inner display of the Z Fold device.
Currently, upon unfolding the device, the system directly navigates to the PIN/pattern entry screen. To view the live wallpaper or static wallpaper on the unfolded lock screen, users are required to re-lock the device or press the back button.
From a user experience and aesthetic perspective, this current behavior is suboptimal, as it diminishes the value of the inner display's lock screen wallpaper.
Users typically prefer to view their customized wallpaper upon unfolding their device, rather than being immediately prompted for authentication. Therefore, we respectfully request the implementation of a feature that allows users to view their wallpaper on the unfolded inner display prior to swiping to unlock or entering their PIN/fingerprint.
There is currently no way to enable or set the device to display its wallpaper when unfolded even while locked, unlike the outer display.
When the device is folded does the outer display show you the wallpaper and ask you to swipe to put your pin/pattern or fingerprint or does it do the opposite? Oh okay, thought so.
When friends/family pick the phone up to check it out, the first instinct is to open the Fold to marvel. Seeing a scenic or live wallpaper as a welcome is much more inviting as opposed to the PIN/pattern entry screen. This would help more people consider the fold series.
