Please offer an option to enter telephone numbers in a more current version of today. Not just the old-fashioned way, as it is currently with parentheses. Give us other options as well.

What you see in the contacts app or dialer is just a formatting thing. Are you saying you want the option for the digits to be displayed differently?

I prefer the old-fashioned way. Because I am old-fashioned. 😊

I always just enter the numbers, sometimes with or without dashes.  The app usually populates the dashes or adds the parentheses.  Frankly, I don't care whether the number populates with dashes, without dashes, or with parentheses, as long as the phone dials the number and I don't have to type the parens myself.
