Bixby and Gemini

Is anyone else struggling with Bixby and Gemini? I tried to do commands but it wakes up and shut off instantly 😒 its frustrating.

Try this
1. Check button mapping → In Settings → Advanced Features → Side Button, make sure only one assistant is assigned (not both Bixby + Gemini).
2. Pick one assistant → Temporarily disable one (Bixby or Gemini) to see if the other works normally.
3. Clear cache/data → For both apps (Settings → Apps → Storage).
4. Update everything → Ensure Samsung software, Bixby, and Gemini are fully updated.
5. Check permissions & battery → Allow microphone + background activity, and remove battery optimization restrictions.
6. Restart → A fresh reboot sometimes fixes it temporarily.

Ever since Gemini released, Bixby is **bleep** near non-existent. Its insane. I got this brand new phone and half of the commands don't work. Idk if maybe AI is so advanced to where I'm expecting too much out of Bixby which is a coded assistant and not soo much AI like Gemini, but I feel like the command "Play *insert song* by *insert artist* On Samsung Music (Built in music app btw)" isn't too complicated of a command. Its like my phone is no longer hands-free. Instead I get "That feature is not yet supported" 😑

I never had issues with Bixby till now like you said since Gemini was released. But I'll also try to give Gemini commands and nothing!

The deep mono of only "Hi, Bixby" worked and opened up for my morning alarm. Ty ❤️ Hubby is laughing, lol. Fyi: I've tried everything else listed.

yep lol I looked like a crazy person saying hey bixby hey bixby hey bixby hey bixby and it wouldn't let me get a word in 🙄 but I was in SOS mountain region the whole week so I thought it was just me and nobody had posted at the time. hope they fix this soon

I have had this issue since 9 13 25 and made 4 reports, they ignored me. some recent update has trashed bixby voice wake up. instead of "hey bixby" try "hi, bixby." very monotone and it should work
