Most questions I ask it or tasks I give it either says it cant do it or for a question it like "what is this famous person in this movie?" And it won't respond but give me a link to IMDB to look it up myself. I thought this was supposed to be a soficticated AI assistant that will make tasks easier. I save more time just doing it myself cuz its not doing jack. Is this a bug or what's happening?
Samsung's AI knowledge is restricted by the data it was trained on. If certain information was not included in its dataset, it simply doesn't "know" it.
It's a continual learning process, not a bug.
For celebrity recognition, your best options are third-party apps and online AI tools.
If so what's the difference between 7 and 8? Cuz i feel like 7 worked better than 8. But 8 is supposed to be the polished version of what their vision is its all focused on AI. And the fold 6 was the first to introduce AI as a phone then the S25. so im not understanding why it seems like it took a step back and everything still looks and feels the same. AI is the bulk of this update but it worked better on 7 at least on my fold 6
So I have a fold six and just downloaded one ui8 Android 16 and now with my phone app open and my fold open the recent keypad and contacts are in the left hand upper corner where they was below the keypad and now my thumb didn't grow another 6 in to be able to use this feature. Anybody else experiencing this?
Which AI are you using? Samsung's or Gemini? If it's Gemini, you need to contact Google. The fact that it gave you a link to IMDB is, in fact, proof that it's working. It's not a mind reader. Even if you asked a human who "that famous person is" in a particular movie, they wouldn't know to whom you were referring. it's even worse if you don't know the name of the movie. You might have better luck finding a picture of the famous person, and if they are not already identified, use circle to search. You can even point your camera at a movie or TV screen when said person is on the screen for circle to search.
