DiscussionsI have installed the last beta update on March 29, 2025. However, I have noticed that the android patch level shows as April 01, 2025. How is this even possible. When I installed the update, April 01, 2025 did not exist. So, either it was a mistake or it was intentionally done to assume all the security fixes to be deployed for April 01, 2025 was already included. But however we look at it, it doesn't make any sense. I hope in the future this kind of things will be taken care of.

DiscussionsHello,
Thank you for your observation and thoughtful feedback.
The Android security patch level often reflects the intended month of coverage, even if the update is released slightly ahead of that date. This is common across the industry and ensures devices are aligned with the latest planned security fixes as part of coordinated update cycles. While it may seem confusing, the "April 1, 2025" patch level indicates that all relevant security updates targeted for April have already been included in the build you received.
Weāll share your comment with the relevant teams for review to help improve clarity in future updates.
Best regards,
One UI Beta Team
