In a beautiful Texas Southern Spring morning, I managed to take beautiful photos of the sun with my new S22 Ultra. After reviewing the photo, I saw dark spots on the sun, so I took more pictures to confirm my suspicions. Be hold!.... Sun Spots captured with the S22 Ultra!

I wonder if the sun light is not damaging the camera sensor

I only take pictures in the mornings to minimize that risk. Not sure if the sun damages the camera in general. Been taking pictures of the sun for days and haven't seen any changes in quality.

Been fishing for 30 years been using Samsung from the days of the sliders , flips and bar phones I've never had a camera get damaged from the sun.
