ComputersSamsung Devs/Bug Report/Tech Support Team,
I have spent 3 years off/on researching into why my Samsung 980 Pro m.2 drives had dismal performance ratings on their Random Read/Write scores. (using Samsung Magician software). On Windows 10, they scored GREAT. But, when I custom built my Windows 11 high performance gaming rig back in 2021, I was left perplexed on WHY these 980 Pros (I have 2 of them) were scoring so poorly vs. on Windows 10. A LOT OF RESEARCH on/off went into this (several forums, websites, tricks, suggestions, etc). You name it, I tried it. Nothing worked.
Now, in the last few days, I decided to once again give it a go. And, this time, I figured out a major piece of this puzzle. Unfortunately, Acronis True Image software is crippling the Samsung's 980Pro's random write/read performance! I am reporting this as a potential bug (I hope), and with the sincere hope that there's something you can do about it. Soooooo many people on the net have been trying to figure this out. And now, I have evidence that points to the Acronis True software being behind the frustrations.
