I just assumed the op was talking about a tablet, my bad! As far as the device care information showing up on the a series phones, I have no idea I've only owned S Series phones since the S3.

Last I heard SD cards can't be read now because of some Google stuff...its been like that for years. It's basically ruined every app and emulator app that requires access to the SD card because of Google you just can't really access them anymore I mean you can within reason but most of the time it's a complete pain in the butt to do so I'm assuming this was done because they would rather you buy the larger phones with more memory or they probably are in cahoots with things like Microsoft where they would rather you purchase one drive

You say I heard wrong but yet try downloading retroarch put some games on your main storage which is labeled as an SD and then try seeing if retroarch will find your games it won't find them you literally have to have your SD card in an SD card reader plugged into your phone in order to then have it read it internal SD cards and your internal storage which is an SD itself cannot be read anymore by programs Google has put a block on all third-party apps from accessing the SD if I was able to post a video on here to show you I would demonstrate it and I'm using a Galaxy s25 Ultra

You did hear wrong. My SD card works just fine, and so do the SD cards of everyone I know who has a phone that still utilizes them, and millions of others with A series phones. The phone's HD is labeled SD, because it is basically a non-removable SD card pasted to the motherboard, but one has nothing to do with the other. Google has not done anything of the sort. The S25 does not support SD cards. It has no SD slot, which is why if you want to utilize an SD card with an S series phone, you have to use a card reader as an external drive. The A series phones still have SD card slots (which are technically external SD card readers). The OP is referring to the SD card inserted into that supported slot, not the internal drive.
