What is "One UI" and what does it do? Samsung A13 5G

Ok exactly what is One UI and what does it do? And what version should I have on an A13 5G? I see Launcher, One UI, settings and another tab called Android 13 all looking like they do the same thing. And my One UI says it has default settings ( don't know how has a 'clear' button tho). I need to know who's who and what's what so I know which is supposed to "appear on top".

It is Samsung's Operation System that they put on top of Google's Android platform. It is referred to as a "SKIN"

It's sorta like a woman putting on makeup.

Effectively its a launching tool for apps and widgets on your device, it's an overlay access program that's designed by samsung

The User Interface (OneUI) is what makes Samsung's phones more customizable than the competition. It's why Samsung phones have a thousand settings and sub settings. It lays over the Android foundation. Every brand has it's own UI. Your phone should be running OneUI6.1 over Android 14.

What does it say when you go into "about phone"/siftware information. Should tell you the UI verion and Andoid version

UI 5.1 Android 13 even tho it says the playstore and android version update are Jan 1 2025
